MendRight™ Patch Technology:

MendRight™ patches utilize passive matrix technology. The active ingredients are combined with adhesive in a proprietary process and applied to the latex patch backing. The heat of the skin activates the ingredients and causes permeation of the skin.

Benefits of Sustained Dose:

A typical regimen proscribed for Glucosamine-Chondroitin users is to take a 1-5 pills three times per day. This is because studies have suggested that the more presence of the supplement in the bloodstream over time, the more benefit to the joint is derived.

Other studies suggest that long term, sustained low dosing may be the best approach.¹

The problem with taking large doses of Glucosamine-Chondroitin supplements is that the user experiences great spikes and troughs of the ingredients present in the body. These may be harder for the body to process, and it has been shown that pills are not efficiently broken down by the body. As little as 2% of the original dose may survive the digestive tract and processing by the liver before it may effective enter the bloodstream.¹

As shown in the graph above, the delivery of a sustained dose may be more effective than the sporadic downing of a number of pills. Coupled with the fact that many people find it inconvenient or impossible to stay compliant to such a rigorous regimen. Busy lives and schedules make it difficult to maintain consistent dosing behavior that is imperative to the success of the protocol.
